🔊 What is sound?
Sound is something we hear.
It comes from vibrations that move in the air and go to our ears.
Everything that moves or shakes can make sound: a guitar, a bell, a drum, or a person.
🎼 What are the qualities of sound?
The qualities of sound help us know and describe different sounds.
There are four main qualities:
1️⃣ Timbre

Timbre tells us who or what makes the sound.

It helps us know if the sound is from a guitar, a piano, or a dog.

🐶🐱 Example: A dog and a cat sound different.
2️⃣ Duration

Duration is how long or short the sound is.

🕒 Example: A bell has a long sound. A clap is short.
3️⃣ Intensity

Intensity is how loud or soft the sound is.

🔊 Example: A thunder is loud. A whisper is soft.
4️⃣ Pitch (Height)

Pitch is how high or low the sound is.
